Local Business Broker Earns Prestigious CBI Designation

The International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) is pleased to announce that Kate Vriner of Sunbelt Business Advisors of Southwest Ohio has earned the prestigious Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation. The CBI, which represents the gold standard in the business brokerage industry, is granted to individuals who complete required course work, pass an extensive competency exam, and agree to uphold the IBBA’s Professional Standards and Code of Ethics.

“Earning the CBI takes dedication to the craft of business brokerage and demonstrates a personal commitment to excellence,” stated Jeff Snell, IBBA Credentialing Committee Chair and 2019 IBBA Board Chair-Elect.  “The CBI is a clear indicator of knowledge and experience, and we encourage business sellers and buyers to look for the CBI designation when selecting a business broker to work with,” added Snell.

Kate Vriner has been part of the Sunbelt Business Advisors of Southwest Ohio team for two years, beginning as a Certified Business Broker. During that time, she has been responsible for objectively guiding sales between business owners and prospective buyers in the Dayton, Cincinnati, and Northern Kentucky regions.

Ms. Vriner currently serves as the DRMA Recruitment Sub-Committee Chair, a Boonshoft Associate Board Member, Dayton Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Club Member, WiBN Advisory Committee Member, and Junior Achievement Volunteer. Additionally, Ms. Vriner has previously worked with women’s networking groups and youth tutoring programs. She resides in Dayton, Ohio with her husband, Mike, and two daughters, Rita and Evelyn.
