COVID-19 Update (March 22, 2020)

Dear Sunbelt subscribers,

We want to reach out to share our perspective and offer available resources during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The full impact of COVID-19 has yet to reveal itself. For many business owners, this uncertainty has been cause for stress and panic. As experts in our field, we are here to provide updates on how this health crisis is affecting the economy and information on what our clients can expect from us during these uncertain times.

While there is a lot of uncertainty, it is important to remember that the foundation of our economy is strong. There have been many comparisons made to the 2008 financial crisis, but we need to remember that we are not in a banking/financial crisis. Balance sheets are strong, interest rates are low, and capital is available for business growth and acquisition. We are also anticipating Federal and State governments intervening with stimulus to bolster the economy.

If you are a client, know that we stand with you during this time and are adapting to keep our business operations functioning at a high level. We are taking steps to ensure the safety of our brokers, clients, and community, while continuing to focus on providing the highest level of service. These steps include:

  • Adapting and treating each client and deal on a case by case basis because we know different industries have different levels of exposure and will be impacted in different ways

  • Working with experts across multiple platforms on a regular basis to ensure we are up to date on the latest information

  • Taking health and wellbeing precautions by expanding virtual meeting capabilities, encouraging all brokers to work from home when possible, and creating office sanitizing protocol

If you are not a client and are considering your next steps in exit strategy planning, rest assured our team is prepared to guide you through that process no matter what external factors are at play.

Gerry Chadwick

Gerry started Sunbelt Business Advisors of Southwest Ohio in December of 2005 after a decade in leadership at Excellence in Motivation, a full-service performance improvement and business loyalty solutions company. In addition to nearly 20 years with Sunbelt, Gerry has served in a variety of leadership roles with organizations like the Rotary Club of Dayton, the Dayton Region Manufacturers Association and the Grandview Foundation.

Gerry has extensive experience working with nonprofits, and is passionate about cycling-related fundraisers. He co-founded Tour de Gem, a Dayton cycling event used to raise money for regional nonprofits that has raised more than $450,000 since its inception in 2017. When he’s not working or cycling, Gerry can be found having fun with his grandchildren or watching UD Flyers games.
